|
Decorative concrete is cast-in-place concrete which is integrally colored and impressed with a pattern then sealed. |
PREPARATION:

Color shall be 3500 psi if subject to freeze-thaw areas: recommended with ASTM C15 Type I cement and 3/4" or less aggregate. |
INSTALLATION:

Color is achieved with integral pigment added to the concrete in the Ready-Mix truck. Reinforcement can be added if contractor determines it necessary. The colored concrete is placed into the formed areas, screened, floated, and edged. Pigmented release is cast over the concrete and the desired pattern is pressed into the concrete surface using stamping tools. Control joins are created the same as for plain concrete. After a washing, the concrete is sealed with a clear acrylic sealer. |
